While there are no egg hunts, frilly dresses, or candy filled baskets in this post, it was still a great weekend indeed.
Landyn spent Easter with her dad this year, so we celebrated a little early with a gathering on Friday and a trip to the fire station on Saturday morning. Sunday, Josh and I had brunch with my family and then later in the day gathered around a table of laughter for a traditional Easter dinner with his family. I busted out my great grandma’s famous mac & cheese and my favorite green salad, and was reminded how much I really do enjoy holidays. It’s being in the presence of family, recreating tradition, making new memories, building relationships, and doing Easter with this guy, that has me feeling grateful.
I hope you all had a beautiful Easter! Here’s to hoping that next Easter I have some more traditional photos to show for it.
